We are seeking a Waiter in Dubai, UAE, to be responsible for greeting customers, collecting payments, suggesting flavors, answering client questions, adhering to health and safety guidelines, and maintaining the work area clean.
Job Description:
Greet customers and orders from them and place these orders.
Maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items and answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation.
Make menu recommendations and inform patrons of any specials.
Prepare ice cream scoops, waffle cones, coffee, and all foods in the shop while creating a friendly, energetic atmosphere for customers.
Check that customers are satisfied with their orders.
Ensure the accuracy of all transaction calculations and return appropriate change.
Maintain and clean the dipping cabinets and eliminate cross-contamination of ice cream flavors.
Clean Ice Cream booth/store and surrounding patio and picnic tables.
Maintain a neat uniform and appearance, name tag, and cap.
Keep the areas fresh and clean, and report areas in need of cleanup or maintenance.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines.
Communicate with team members on performance and provide feedback for further improvements.
Qualifications:
Education: Diploma or High School certificate. Health certification is an advantage.
Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of general experience in FMCG retail store
· Prior related experience in a similar role is a plus.
Languages: Proficiency in English language, Arabic is a plus.
Knowledge & Abilities Required:
Knowledge of store operations and procedures
Proven track record in FMCG or HORECA
Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Ability to work under pressure, and to handle multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently or as a team member.
Active and self-supervised and meet job deadlines.
