We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Chartered Accountant with expertise in financial and management accounting. Candidates must have experience in dealing with customs and a strong understanding of customs procedures. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for handling financial and cost accounting roles, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining relationships with auditors, regulators, and stakeholders, monitoring cash flow, preparing financial statements, conducting internal audits, and improving processes.
What you will do…
Handle the full spectrum of financial and cost accounting roles, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, forecasting, and budgeting.
Take charge of the accounts department, ensuring that all entries are completed on a day-to-day basis.
Review financial statements and report any errors or anomalies in accounting methodology.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
Prepare financial statements for external reporting purposes, such as monthly or quarterly reports to banks.
Monitor cash flow to ensure timely payment of bills and sufficient funds for upcoming expenses.
Prepare reports on company performance, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
Review financial records, bookkeeping, contracts, and other documentation to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data.
Participate in or lead internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls within the financial management system.
Conduct research to identify new accounting methods or procedures that could enhance operational efficiency.
Identify and address issues with accounting processes or procedures that may lead to future errors or misinterpretations of data.
Participate in inter-departmental meetings to ensure a smooth flow of operations.
Liaise across all personnel to facilitate effective operations.
Make sure the accounting department is efficient to ensure its functioning.
Are you the one?
Certified Chartered Accountant with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial and management accounting.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required; additional qualifications will be considered.
Proficient in both written and verbal English communication.
Previous experience working in consultancies and accounting firms is highly desirable.
Experience dealing with customs and a strong understanding of customs procedures.
Good experience in VAT and corporate tax functioning.
Relevant experience in auditing and costing is advantageous.
Excellent strategic planning skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Excellent MS Office skills, particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate high attention to detail.
