Key Responsibilities:
Experience: 12+ years in culinary arts with a minimum of 2 years as a Sous Chef.
Culinary Expertise: In-depth understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Management Skills: Proven track record in kitchen and staff management, with the ability to maintain high-quality standards.
Menu Development: Collaborate in the preparation and design of all food menus to create diverse and appealing offerings.
Operational Excellence: Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently, meeting quality standards and timelines.
Leadership: Fill in for superiors, planning and directing food preparation when necessary.
Team Development: Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedules, and assess staff performance.
Inventory Management: Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately, supporting food cost objectives.
Emergency Response: Demonstrate accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations, providing effective solutions.
Professionalism: Maintain a positive and professional approach, fostering a collaborative environment with coworkers, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen.
Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of Nutrition, Allergens and portion control
