IFZA is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our Shared Service Center team on a maternity cover basis. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting for our customers, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Process financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records
Reconcile invoices, statements, and investigate discrepancies
Post journal entries following double-entry bookkeeping principles
Prepare aging reports and manage customer relationships
Implement procedure documentation for internal controls
Act as a point of contact for accounting inquiries
Identify operational issues and drive continuous improvement
Oversee monthly financial statement preparation for customers
Provide regular progress updates to the team lead
Support ad-hoc tasks aligned with business objectives
Requirements:
Degree in Accounting or Finance
Part/Fully qualified professional accounting certification preferred
Minimum 1-2 years of accounting experience
Strong knowledge of IFRS principles
Excellent English communication skills (additional languages a plus)
Proficient in accounting fundamentals and ERP systems
Expertise in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
Keen analytical and problem-solving abilities
Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
Understanding of business models and KPIs
