Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our client’s finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and reporting financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and financial statements.
Prepare budgets and financial forecasts, and report variances to management.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and auditors.
Manage tax compliance, including preparing and filing tax returns and ensuring timely payment of taxes.
Perform regular audits to ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support for decision-making processes.
Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and standards to ensure compliance.
Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc financial projects and analyses as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar industry.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
