Homecare Nurse Required in Dubai


We are seeking an experienced Homecare Nurse to join our reputable healthcare company based in Dubai, UAE. As a Homecare Nurse, she will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care and support to patients receiving home intravenous (IV) treatment. She will also be responsible for coordinating and assisting with doctor-on-call services to ensure comprehensive healthcare delivery to the patients at their own home, hotel or office.

Responsibilities:

Provide Skilled Nursing Care: Deliver skilled nursing care to patients in their homes, primarily focusing on administering intravenous medications and therapies according to prescribed treatment plans.
IV Treatment Management: Assess patients’ medical conditions, evaluate their response to IV therapy, monitor vital signs, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough initial assessments of patients’ health conditions, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic test results. Develop individualized care plans and goals in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Patient Education and Support: Educate patients and their families on IV therapy procedures, self-care techniques, medication administration, and potential side effects or complications. Offer emotional support and address any concerns or questions.

Doctor-On-Call Coordination: Collaborate with on-call doctors to facilitate timely medical consultations and address patient emergencies or concerns. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, medical histories, and treatment plans.
Medication and Sample Management: Ensure proper storage, handling, administration, and disposal of IV medications following established protocols and infection control guidelines. Collect samples as per prescribed procedures, label them appropriately, and ensure their safe and timely transportation to the designated laboratories or facilities.
Adherence to Quality Standards: Adhere to professional nursing standards, local regulations, and company policies and procedures to ensure safe, ethical, and quality care delivery. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate documentation.
Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
Continuous Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements in homecare nursing practices, attend training sessions, workshops, and conferences to enhance your knowledge and skills.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medication administration records. Generate reports and submit documentation as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or an equivalent nursing qualification.
Valid nursing license from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) or another regulatory authority in the UAE.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Dubai or UAE, preferably in homecare or a related field.
Proven experience in administering intravenous medications and therapies (Must).
Proven experience in collecting blood and other patient samples (Must).
Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Strong knowledge of infection control practices and medical safety standards.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and computer literacy.
Flexible to work on a rotational shift basis, including weekends and holidays, as per patient needs.
