Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and direction in the development of budgeted business in relevant target markets.
The preparation of the department budget and monitoring of the financial performance of a given area versus the budget that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and rectified promptly and potential performance-improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
Executes annual marketing and sales plan to budget, in consultation with the GM, and other related departments.
Works with the management team to create and implement sales and marketing plans addressing revenue, customers, and the market for the segment.
Acts as the liaison between the marketing and sales department and advertising agency on tactical advertising campaigns and creative and media plans, particularly for food and beverage promotions.
Executes email marketing and display advertising.
Direct the development and implementation of a commercial plan, in line with the approved budget and coordinate, verifying advertisement targeting is correctly directed at relevant consumer groups.
Direct the application of appropriate marketing initiatives within the hotel, through media planning and cross-selling, to create synergies and optimize the use of sales and marketing resources.
Guide the preparation of reports detailing the hotel’s sales and marketing performance aligned with the corporate standard.
Direct the ongoing research of local/international opportunities to identify market and competition trends in order to adjust sales and marketing efforts accordingly to continuously enhance sales and marketing practices.
Set, implement and monitor annual business plan goals/commercial plan and sales targets.
Manage staff performance in compliance with company policies and procedures Recruit, manage, train and develop the Proper Sales and Marketing team.
Qualifications:
2-4 year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or related major and 5 to 6 years experience in the sales, marketing, digital or related professional area; hospitality marketing digital advertising experience preferred.
Proven experience in leading a Sales function and developing strategic sales and marketing plans.
Strong understanding of core hotelier operations.
Excellent selling, negotiation, and outstanding analytical and interpersonal skills.
